託ける

ことづける【言付ける･託ける】

send 《a parcel, a message》 by [via] sb; get sb to take [deliver] 《a parcel [a message] to another》.

●手紙を息子にことづける get one's son to take a letter 《to sb》; send sb a letter via [by] one's son; send one's son 《to sb》 with a letter.

●救助隊員たちへの感謝の言葉を妻にことづけた. I got my wife to take a letter of thanks to the rescue workers.
